Minutes of Annual Parish Meeting held on 4th May 2016

Welcome by Chairman

PT welcomed parishioners and thanked everyone for their support.


5.0       Apologies


5.1      The Minutes:

PT read the Minutes from the 2015 APM and signed them off as a true copy.

5.2       Matters Arising               None


5.3       Chairman’s Report  

PT introduced Summary of Achievements and set targets for the coming year – see Attached. He gave more detailed information about some of the points. Thanks expressed to Cllr Midgley for all her hard work in overseeing the fund raising/grant applications and installation of the Community Garden  SID biannual results can be emailed to any parishioner on request and one such request was made. Clerk will action. Thanks expressed to Richard Brooks (Longwaite Farm) for volunteering to edit Your View. The website has been updated, supported by a successful grant application of £710. The Parish Plan had been completed and would be the focus of further meetings in 2016 and work to address issues raised would continue as the main target for 2016/17.  Grass cutting contract had been awarded to Kev Gale as Nev Dean had withdrawn from the job.The work on improvements to Highways issues, which is one of the main focus areas of the Plan, has resulted in some positive results. It will continue to be a major ongoing issue for the TPC. More details of our use of social media will be disseminated over the upcoming year. Thanks expressed to John and Ann Harding for their work for the Village Hall committee and parish. Welcome to Dean Silvester as their new Chairman. Targets which were set for 2015/16 re Highways/website/new Chairperson for village hall have been met.


5.4       Review of Yearly Accounts

PT issued summary and Clerk explained that the SALC grant for updating the website meant that the Bank Balance was heathier than last year. Accounts and Audit information will be available to the public to view on website, notice boards and through the eNewsletter.

£4,950.00 + CTS Grant of £128.35 = £5,078.35

5.7      Concluding Remarks

The Chairman thanked all Cllr’s and Clerk for their hard work and acknowledged the time and effort put in behind the scenes to enhance and develop the parish. He also thanked parishioners for their support with parish issues and attendance at TPC meetings.


The meeting closed at 7.25pm. The next meeting will be held in May 2016
